A Dollar Tree Fall Tablescape is a great way to create a festive setting at a budget friendly price. This year, Eric issued a challenge for me to create a tablescape for fall and Thanksgiving using mostly Dollar Tree items. At first I was down for the challenge. I soon realized that I needed to supplement the table with items that I already had in my collection.
When I started this project, I was very frustrated. I didn’t want elements for the table that would look cheap or overdone. It was quite a challenge. It really helped to start with the basics: chargers, plates, bowls, and glasses. Once I picked out those items, it seemed like the tablescape really started to take on a real personality.
I started the design with gold chargers and orange plates. I added a smoky black bowl to go along with the plates. I want to keep with a classic fall color scheme so I added green napkins with gold napkin rings. I finished the place settings off with cute leaf glasses.
I set the centerpiece elements on a leaf table runner that I got from Amazon. One stipulation in the challenge was that the linens and flatware would not be Dollar Tree items. I was able to find lots of cute accessories to use for the centerpiece including owls and farmer characters as well as pumpkins and turkeys.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money to create a festive tablescape. A Dollar Tree Tablescape can impress your guests without breaking the bank. If you use a little creativity as well as mix in some of your existing collection, you can create a tablescape that is fun, festive, or even elegant. This way, you can use more of your budget for a delicious dinner or even for Black Friday!
