Easy Sausage Stroganoff – Quick and easy weeknight stroganoff served over cooked egg noodles or your favorite pasta. Your family will love this dish!

Ingredients
1 pound Italian sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 stick of butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 – 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
10 mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cayenne
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1/4 cup water
1/2 pound egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage in a little olive oil. Remove and drain and set aside.
In the same pan, add butter and onion. Cook until translucent. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add mushrooms and cook until softened. Add flour, black pepper, and cayenne. Add Cream of Chicken Soup and water. Stir and simmer for approximately 10 minutes uncovered.
Boil pasta until al dente. Add sausage back to the skillet and room temperature sour cream. You can add a little flour or cornstarch to the sour cream to keep it from separating. Stir to combine and heat.
Drain the pasta and add directly to the skillet. Stir to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with parsley for color
