How to Make Homemade Butter in a Food Processor – This butter only has two ingredients: cream and salt. Simple and delicious!
- 1 quart heavy whipping cream
- Salt to taste
- Pour heavy whipping cream into the bowl of a 16 cup food processor. If you have a smaller food processor, reduce the amount of whipping cream. Add a pinch of salt. Process on high for 5 – 10 minutes until the liquid separates from the butterfat.
- Remove the butter to a fine mesh strainer over a measuring cup or bowl. Strain out the liquid by pressing the butter into the strainer.
- Over a separate bowl, rinse the butter in the strainer by pouring cold water over the butter. You will probably have to rinse it a few times to get all the liquid out.
- Salt to taste. Enjoy!
