Specialty tools for breadmaking will give you more flexibility in your baking. Once you have basic equipment, you will be ready to expand your collection to include a proofer, grain mill, and other specialty items. Below are some of my favorites.
Brod & Taylor Folding Proofer: I purchased my folding proofer years ago. It is one of my favorite tools for bread making. It is the perfect way of allowing your bread to rise under perfect warmth and humidity levels.
Nutrimill Grain Mill: A grain mill is an essential tool for the serious home bread baker. I use the Nutrimill and I thoroughly enjoy it.
O’Delice Bakery Bread Lame: This bread scoring tool makes slashing your bread a breeze. Slashing the dough just before baking allows your bread to expand in the oven. It is also a great way to add a decorative touch to your bread!
The Bread Boss Banneton Proofing Basket – A great way to proof your bread is in a banneton. It creates ridges on the bread and takes away moisture. This leads to a crispy crust.
Prepatize Bowl and Dough Scrapers (set of 4): A bowl scraper is a big helper because it allows you to move and cut your dough quickly. I use it both in the bowl and on the board.
